In a nutshell, this book is great for learning how to program applications with GUI and for mastering how to develop your own applications and how to run them across platforms. The book (Rapid GUI Programming with Python and Qt) goes on to tell how to use it but I don't understand what they are writing. But i am a bit skeptical to follow the book as it might be diffirent then Pyside. Mark Summerfield's book, Rapid GUI Programming with Python and Qt, is an up-to-date guide to GUI application development with Python 2.5, PyQt4 and Qt 4.2/4.3. Even converted it to a .py file.
